As CARPC’s 2016 Strategic Plan neared the end of its planning horizon, commissioners and staff gathered last August to assess progress towards the plan’s goals and discuss where they would like the agency to be in the next few years. One outcome of this planning session was an agreement to revisit the agency’s mission statement and vision.
Over the rest of 2019, CARPC personnel developed and narrowed down options that best communicate what we do, why, and for whom. At the February meeting, commissioners adopted the following guiding statements:
Mission Statement
Strengthen the region by engaging communities through planning, collaboration and assistance
Vision
A region where communities create exceptional quality of life for all by working together to solve regional challenges.
