Sewer Extension and Stormwater Plan Reviews

The DNR and the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) require applicants for nearly all sewer extensions in Dane County to include in their application a water quality management review letter (also known as a 208 letter) stating that the extension is consistent with the Dane County Water Quality Plan. This letter is required for all public sanitary sewer extensions, private interceptor mains, and new construction that require DSPS plan approval and discharge to a public sewer. CARPC, in its capacity as an agent for the DNR, reviews applications for sanitary sewer extensions for consistency with the Dane County Water Quality Plan and provides a review letter.
