Requests for 2025 Community Assistance

CARPC is now accepting requests for assistance on plans or projects taking place in calendar year 2025. All Dane County cities, villages, towns, and nonprofit organizations are invited to request professional planning or technical support for their upcoming projects.
CARPC staff are equipped to assist with community comprehensive plans, outreach and engagement, mapping, and data services. We also have experience creating area plans and topical reports on housing, parks and open space, resource management, and more. Explore our services, including examples of our work, in the Services section of our website.
One of our core roles in the region is to support intergovernmental collaboration. If you’d like to develop agreements or build relationships with neighboring communities, including creating or updating a boundary agreement, we welcome conversation about how we may be able to assist.
RECENT PROJECTS
Recent and ongoing projects include comprehensive plan updates for the Town of Bristol and Town of Rutland, a comprehensive outdoor recreation plan and a community forest management plan for the Village of Shorewood Hills, a hazard mitigation plan for Rock County, splits mapping for the Town of Springfield, a cemetery web map for the Town of Vienna, and a comprehensive lake management plan for Lake Waubesa.
COST
For plans and projects requiring more than 16 hours of staff time, CARPC and the requesting community will define the project scope, deliverables, timeline and estimated cost in writing. The cost of services will be determined based on the estimated number of project hours and hourly rate of staff involved, plus any direct costs for travel and materials.
Projects requiring less than 16 hours of staff time may be completed at no charge, depending on staff availability. We also have some capacity to reduce fees for communities able to demonstrate financial hardship.
