The Regional Planning Commission releases quarterly updates on trends in the Capital Region on the subjects of: population and housing, economic development, environmental resources, and agricultural resources.
This publication focuses on indicators of economic development and equitable access to opportunity. It reports an improving economic picture. The region is performing well overall, as measured by employment and business health. Median income is rising and poverty falling, but persistent inequities remain across racial and ethnic groups.
