The Capital Area Regional Planning Commission (CARPC) in Madison, Wisconsin, has an immediate opening for a permanent full-time Administrative Services Coordinator. This is an intermediate-level position which works independently to provide financial, personnel, and administrative support functions for the Capital Area Regional Planning Commission (Agency). This position maintains the Agency accounts and finances, prepares financial reports, assists with preparation of annual budgets, maintains personnel and other Agency records, processes payroll, and provides support to the Commission, including meeting arrangements and minutes.

The following skills and abilities are required: Any combination equivalent to two years of post-secondary education in a relevant field or an associate degree in accounting, human resources, or a related field, and four or more years of responsible office experience similar to this position; or seven or more years of responsible office experience similar to this position. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products. High degree of organization, arithmetical skill and accuracy, and critical thinking. Ability to multitask, and experience in taking minutes. Knowledge of government accrual accounting rules and Uniform Guidance very helpful. (See this position’s job description here.)

This is an exempt position, working an average of 40 hours per week, with a starting annual salary of $51,248 with benefits. Normal work hours are 7:45 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday with some evening hours.
