MCC Climate Asset Map
With support from the Midwest Big Data Innovation Hub, the Midwest Climate Collaborative (MCC) is developing a Climate Asset Map, an online map and interactive database of midwestern climate work. A survey has been released for anyone involved in climate work to help identify how the Climate Asset Map can best suit the needs of users.
The Climate Asset Map will be an online tool to identify what assets exist in the region to assist researchers and practitioners to meet their climate goals, covering topics related to climate mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and justice. We anticipate sharing links to resources such as data sets, sample policies, funding sources, reports, online tools, and lists of experts. It will also serve as a tool for funders and the media to find local experts and resources and better understand who is doing what on climate in the region.
CARPC is a founding member of the Midwest Climate Collaborative which was established in 2022. CARPC has been providing assistance with development strategies for this project as a partner in the MCC Climate Asset Map Working Group.
As the Midwest Climate Asset Map is being developed, we want to make sure it will support the climate work people are doing in the Midwest. That’s why we want to hear from you! Please share your perspectives in a quick 15-minute survey. In appreciation of your time, everyone who completes the survey will be eligible to enter a raffle for a $100 Visa gift card.
