Maureen Crombie was appointed to the Capital Area Regional Planning Commission in 2016 after being nominated by Sun Prairie’s Mayor Paul Esser. She is part of the Executive team and was recently re-elected for another term. Maureen brings a unique perspective to the Commission having served on different boards and commissions such as the Plan Commission and Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Commission in Sun Prairie. Commissioner Crombie also serves as an Alder on the Sun Prairie City Council for District 3. Maureen loves learning and bringing information from other communities back to her community.

The Commission activities that interest Maureen most are land use, housing, transportation, and partnerships. She has now resided in Sun Prairie for around 28 years. She appreciates Sun Prairie being such a resilient and generous community despite how fast-growing it is.
