Mapping & Visualization
CARPC staff are equipped to collect, analyze, and visualize geospatial data for a variety of applications. We routinely provide datasets, generate printed maps, and create/host web maps and story maps at the request of local communities. These products visually communicate complex information and empower local governments and citizens to make informed, considered decisions.
Town Zoning Maps
Zoning maps allow communities to quickly identify permitted uses of a property to facilitate permitting and administration. We currently maintain zoning maps for the following Dane County townships:
Cemetery Mapping
CARPC’s capabilities include collecting highly accurate geospatial data to create custom datasets and mapping products like cemetery maps. Cemetery maps help communities maintain the locations and inventory of burial plots, along with information about our forebears.

Urban Forestry Management Tools
Community forest management tools can help analyze public park and forest composition, evaluate forest health, and estimate annual benefits and services. We completed one such tool for the Village of Shorewood Hills Forest Management Plan.
