CARPC is pleased to introduce Matt Kozlowski, our new Administrative Services Manager. We know what you’re thinking—23% of CARPC staff is now named Matt!

Matt brings a strong background in human resources, finance, and office management to his role at CARPC. With more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience, he looks forward to using his skills to support the essential processes that keep the agency running smoothly while also helping to strengthen public participation in regional planning.

Most recently, Matt served as Finance and Operations Director at the Tenant Resource Center, where he oversaw budgeting, audits, risk management, IT systems, and HR functions. Over his 11 years with the organization, he advanced from Office Manager to Finance Director and then to Finance and Operations Director, gaining valuable experience in organizational growth and system development. His longstanding interest in land use and environmental issues drew him to this field, and he appreciates the unique perspective an administrative role provides—allowing him to contribute across multiple projects while supporting CARPC’s day-to-day work.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Matt earned his Associate of Science in Music Education from UW–Marathon County and his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from UW–Madison.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys playing board games with friends, playing tennis, hiking, kayaking, and spoiling his two cats.

Staff Trivia: Every summer, Matt makes the rounds at local music festivals across Madison—and lately, he’s been adding bigger Midwest festivals to the mix.

Matt can be reached at MatthewKoz@capitalarearpc.org. Please join us in welcoming him to the CARPC team!
