Requests for 2022 Community Assistance
CARPC is now accepting requests for assistance on plans or projects taking place in calendar year 2022.
All Dane County cities, villages, and towns are invited to request professional planning or technical support for their upcoming projects. In line with our vision of exceptional quality of life for all, CARPC is also offering our services to community organizations who are currently working toward racial equity and social justice in the Dane County region.
CARPC staff are equipped to assist with community comprehensive plans, outreach and engagement, mapping, and data services. We also have experience creating area plans and topical reports on housing, parks and open space, resource management, and more. Explore our services, including examples of our work, in the Services section of our website.
Recent Assistance Projects
In 2020 and 2021, CARPC staff assisted with comprehensive plan updates in the Villages of Blue Mounds, Mazomanie, and Rockdale. CARPC also assisted YWCA Madison with infographics for their 2020 Annual Report.
For plans and projects requiring more than 16 hours of staff time, CARPC and the requesting community will define the project scope, deliverables, timeline and estimated cost in writing. The cost of services will be determined based on the estimated number of project hours and hourly rate of staff involved (salary, fringe benefits, agency indirect costs, and other expenses such as travel and materials).
Projects requiring less than 16 hours of staff time may be provided at no charge, dependent on staff availability. We also have some capacity to waive fees for communities able to demonstrate financial hardship.
